Parade Food, Wine and Music LogoThis Sunday 19th February, The Parade Norwood will highlight the eclectic mixture of foods, wine and music South Australia has to offer at The Parade Food, Wine and Music Festival 2012. An annual event, it showcases the finest in food and wine alongside five stages providing a range of entertainment options for festival-goers.

Catering to the ‘food’ part of the Festival, numerous Parade establishments will be presenting their signature dishes on the day. These include Madame Wu’s Noodle Bar, serving Basil Beef, Pad Thai Chicken and Green Curry Chicken; Maxim’s Wine Bar, serving Gourmet Hotdogs with a variety of toppings and Grace The Establishment, serving Mini Wagyu Sliders (burgers), Korean Pork Buns and Salted Caramel Chocolate Bars.

As this is also a wine festival, a number of winemakers will have their wares on show at the event. Each participating venue has partnered with different wineries and some with cider makers, meaning every meal can be perfectly complemented with a drink. The wineries include d’Arenberg, Penley Estate, The Lane, Yalumba and Nepenthe.

The Long LunchAdditionally, Vileroy restaurant is hosting ‘The Long Lunch,’ which will take place between noon and 5pm. It will feature a range of European inspired delicacies along with some of the state’s finest wines.

The entertainment at the Festival takes place across the afternoon, beginning at 1pm and is set to finish between 6 and 7.30pm, depending on the stage. There are five stages, and in keeping with the Festival’s theme, one is devoted entirely to cooking and will feature appearances from three well-known chefs; Chloe’s Johnny Triscari, Simon Bryant and Masterchef runner-up Michael Weldon.
