The Old Scholar’s rocking online fashion retail

The Old Scholar
Adelaide-based online fashion retailer The Old Scholar was launched last October with a vision: to offer those who like to express their individuality a showcase of local designers alongside the best of Australian and international fashion.

We gave our Facebook fans and fans of The Old Scholar on Facebook the chance
to win one of four $25 gift vouchers to spend at The Old Scholar online store.
This promotion’s now closed.

As the world of fashion changes, with online shopping challenging the high street, many boutiques and online stores are playing it safe by only stocking well-known labels. The Old Scholar aims to rock that boat.

“Not many boutiques are taking a chance at the moment and what you are seeing are a lot of the same brands in all of the boutiques,” says General Manager and fashion buyer Micaela Nantes. “We want to support up and coming designers and showcase them against already established brands and labels.”

“Being an Australia-based online store that also ships internationally we are giving these talented emerging designers a platform to be recognized worldwide,” she said.

The Old Scholar aims to be the number one place for finding the brands you love but also where you’ll find a few great surprises. Browse the site and you’ll find…

The Old Scholar’s blog Street Scholars, at streetscholars.me brings together an eclectic bunch of fashionistas who each bring their unique style to an eclectic vision of the fashion scene. There’s quirky-tattooed-rock-music&fashion-lovin’ scholar, Punk Rock Mermaid scholar, Effortlessly Unconventional scholar, Vogue Goth scholar, Wa Wa Wee Wa scholar, Vintage Lovechild scholar, the Co-Anchor scholars, Quirk Monster scholar and a Edgy Minimalist scholar. Check it out!

To make you feel even better about buying good quality items from a retailer based right here in Adelaide, a percentage of online sales on The Old Scholar is donated to Guide Dogs SA.NT which uses its expertise with dogs and in sensory service provision to help improve the quality of life of individuals living with a disability.

To win one of four $25 vouchers to spend on The Old Scholar, just leave a comment on this post and tell us your favourite item on The Old Scholar online store. To qualify, please like The Old Scholar on Facebook and adelaidetweet on Facebook.

If I am lucky enough to win one of the vouchers, it will most likely go towards the Swarovski crystal palladium hexagon bangle. It’s shiny :-)
