Discover David Helbock Trio at the Hoot Jazz Festival
At just 29 years of age, Austrian jazz pianist David Helbock has already made his mark on the European jazz scene, having won many awards including Austria’s highest artistic prize, the Outstanding Artist Award, in 2011.
Helbock is bringing Raphael Preuschl on bass ukulele and Herbert Pirker on drums with him to Adelaide for the second Hoot Jazz Festival in Mount Barker this June long weekend.
Both Preuschl and Pirker are respected musicians in their own rights, performing with some of Austria’s finest jazz players, and in combination with Helbock they’ll reward the audience with an inoovative and exciting mucical programme.
You can get a peek at the energy at virtuousity of the trios performances in this video of them playing a Vorarlberg folksong “Öpfili, bist so kugelrund” live in Mexico City.
