Discover the city with the G’Day Adelaide app and AdelaideFree WiFi

iphone_5_mockup_heroThe G’day Adelaide iPhone app allows you to post 10 second audio files which are geo-located on a map of the City of Adelaide and environs. It’s our entry in the AdelaideFree Wi-Fi App Competition.

You can use the app to express an opinion, leave a fun message, or record interesting sounds or music.

In the basic app we’ll be launching soon, each post is automatically recorded with date and time information. You can assign a name to your post and you can browse the map and listen to audio files, like the posts, and tell friends about the app on Facebook or Twitter.

Future updates will allow you to sign in with Twitter or Facebook to share individual audio posts for friends to hear on the app or a website. Posts will be categorised with keywords and a comments thread for each post will be added. Search functions and time filtering will also be available. We be allowing businesses to run audio promotions and make special offers for app users.

We aim to add other features in response to user feedback.

Designed by Mark Gamtcheff and developed by Steven Marshall for DFEEST’s AdelaideFree WiFi App Competition, the app will be coming to the Apple App Store in February 2014.

If you’re around the City of Adelaide you should connect to AdelaideFree WiFi for a fast free connection to optimise your app experience.
